Bucks for Berni (Bernadette Hoppe)

Bernadette Hoppe was suddenly diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. She has spent years helping others through difficult times. Now we have an opportunity to help her.

Bernadette spent her last two summers undergoing agressive treatment.  The chemo she underwent this summer was not successful.  On September 9, 2015, Bernadette learned that her team of doctors want to perform surgery as soon as possible.  This major surgery will take place in Boston, Massachusetts.  The recovery period will be about one month after release from the hospital.  Bernadette now knows she has non-HPV anal cancer, which is more resistant to treatment.  Other than radiation, there are no other treatments.      

Living with this disease has been life changing for Bernadette.  It is incredibly frustrating for her to have to keep changing her life for this disease.  Undergoing aggressive treatment while dealing with the financial pressures of being self-employed and unable to work is not an added stress that Bernadette should be carrying around. We wish for the weight of her financial pressures to be lifted and for her to be able to solely focus on her health and spirit.

We still never lose faith.....Life may be tough but Berni is tougher!
