Chris' Cataract Surgery

Hi everyone,
     Last semester Chris was diagnosed with Glaucoma, his eyesight was never great to begin with, and with this diagnosis we really struggled to pay for the procedure needed to correct the preasure. We took chances and had to space out the procedures for each eye, so we could save the money up. Luckily nothing serious happened and the procedures were done. Chris took the summer off from school and soon had a fog blocking the vision in his good eye (his other eye is almost legally blind) after a visit to his doctor he found he was diabetic and this could be effecting his eyes, he then had to start taking several medications to manage it. After that he went back to the eye doctor to get new glasses and it was discovered he has a cataract in his good eye and the only fix is lense replacement surgery, and with how bad his vision has always been in his other eye, the doctor feels he should have the procedure in both eyes. The surgery recommened by the doctor is not covered by our insurance, the one that is covered would remove the cataract but do little else, he would still have horrible eyesight with  the good eye compensating for the bad eye. We are coming up on the beginning of his last semester before he graduates with a degree in graphic design, but without the procedure, with the level of sight he has left, it would be difficult if not impossible to complete the classes and graduate. Also the pressure from his glaucoma has increased again and the stent procedure needed to alleviate the pressure is also not covered by our insurance. So I am asking for help, please help me save his eyesight, and with luck maybe even give him sight that he has lacked for his whole life, sight that most of us take advantage of.
