Cannon's Medical Fund
Don protégé
Many of you know the Cannon family – Kristin, Trevor, Elkey (7) & Miles (4). You probably know that they live with Trevor’s mother, Jeanne Cannon, in Fox Point.
What you may not know is that Trevor had lymphoma twice, and repeated chemo & radiation treatments have resulted in chronic medical issues. While he has had healthy spurts in his adult life, his heart is comparable to that of an 80-year-old.
Trevor had a pacemaker placed in January. All seemed well for the next few months. However, over spring break, his condition worsened, and he had open heart surgery on April 10, 2017 to replace both his Mitral and Aortic heart valves with mechanical valves. He will need months to fully recover.
Kristin works full time as a nurse at Good Shepherd – she has also been picking up extra shifts and on call hours to try and cover their mounting medical expenses. Trevor has been unable to work regularly for the past few years due to his chronic health issues. Going into this unexpected surgery, Kristin is out of PTO at work, and has had to take the week of the surgery off, unpaid, to help Trevor recover. She will need additional unpaid days off in the future for follow up visits and other support.
Please consider contributing to the Cannon’s medical fund to help them weather this difficult storm.
Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated!
