Hi, my name is Jessica and I am the girlfriend to Jacob Williams. On Wednesday May 4, 2022 Jacob was riding his motorcycle home from work when he was hit head on by a 69 year old drunk driver, her BAC was a .19
He was flown to Wake Baptist hospital in Winston-Salem where he was taken straight in for his CT scans which showed he had broken his left femur in several places. They took him to the trauma room where he had to have a rod put through his leg for traction until they got him to surgery.
Jacob had surgery on the morning of May 5th. During surgery the surgeon called me to inform me that Jacobs breaks to his femur were much worse… he had actually completely shattered it. During surgery they placed a rod through his entire femur, along with many many screws. He has struggled a lot with muscle spasms in that leg and has had an extremely hard time getting comfortable.
- Jacob will be out of work now for up to 6 months or more. We will need help during this time with medical expenses, groceries, fuel to get to his appointments and any other necessary expenses he may have during this time. Jacob may also require a second surgery in the future depending on his rotation.
We were both very back and forth about creating this as neither of us like asking for help, however we have decided to stop being stubborn and be open to anyone willing to even donate a dollar or just a prayer. Jacobs life will forever be changed. We appreciate any and all help given.
