Autumn Lopa

Hi my name is Jennifer Capen I am the Aunt of Autumn Isabella-Shelby Lopa who is in 6th grade and will be attending Oliver Middle School in Brockport, N.Y. I’ve been her # 1 fan since she was born in 2012. This horrific nightmare began in November of 2018 where Autumn started to complain of leg pain. The doctor’s discovered she had E-Wing sarcoma in the bone in her lower leg. They then amputated To about half calf followed by chemotherapy. Autumn is a fighter, she is beautiful, bright, smart, talented, kind and strong willed. Nothing slowed her down. Autumn was fitted for a prosthesis and off she went living her life to the fullest. Fast forward to March of 2022 Autumn started to complain of leg pain while wearing her prosthesis so back to the Dr again. To our surprise THE CANCER WAS BACK….. The decision was made to do limb sparing surgery where they amputated to just above the knee followed by more chemotherapy. This time was different she was without a knee so the prosthesis was different. Autumn worked hard to walk again- she is a fighter bound and determined to be normal she did it!! Then… 8 months later she became very sick struggling to breathe she was taken to the Dr once again to discover by X-Ray she had pneumonia. Just to be sure the Dr’s did a CT and discovered THE CANCER IS BACK again this time in her lungs and the lymph nodes behind her heart. Autumn had an MRI of her leg on July 24th to discover once again she has cancer in her thigh. The family is consulting with 3 doctors ( Rochester NY, Ohio, as well as Philadelphia) to ensure the best possible treatment plan for Autumn. The 1 st treatment plan is here local In Rochester, N.Y. Next she is signed up for 2 trials at CHOP( Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). Autumn will need to travel to and from Philadelphia every 3 weeks for these trials. The money donated will be used for all travel expenses, consultation’s and medical expenses not covered under her insurance. Autumn and her family need your support to ensure Autumn has the very best care to fight and beat this horrific cancer for the 3rd time!!! Please Help!!
