Autistic, Actually! The Podcast

Hi! 

I'm Heidi. Autistic, ADHD Adult, Activist and Educator. 

I'm currently working on a brand new Autistic-hosted Podcast
featuring  Autisic experts and Neurodivergent guests.

AUTISTIC, ACTUALLY! will launch in early 2021. We'll be chatting about everything from stims to special interests, sensory challenges to special education, social norms to sexuality ... and a lot more besides.

I'm raising money to fund the set up of the Podcast and the recording, editing, hosting and promotion of the first season. Thereafter, the intention is to secure funding for future seasons through Episode Sponsorship, Patreon, and similar vehicles. 

It's my intention to pay Podcast guests a small fee, because I believe that people from marginalised groups should be paid for their time and emotional labour.

Breakdown of costs are as follows:

Equipment = £100 
Website/ Podcast Domains and Hosting = £100
Guest Fees (8 weeks at £50 a week) = £400
Recording and Editing Software = £160
Editing time (3 hrs per ep at £15/hr) = £360
Website Design = £380

These funds will cover initial set up, a year of hosting, website set up and the recording and editing of the first season of the Autistic, Actually! Podcast. Any money raised over the target will be used to cover costs of future episodes.
