Australian Theatre Live

Since starting Australian Theatre Live we have been passionate about giving everyone a chance to view spectacular Aussie theatre - regardless of how remotely they live, how much money is in their wallet or their ability to get to a physical theatre. 

With COVID-19 shattering the core of our live performance industry, we see this a new opportunity to reconnect everyone in Australia with why the arts have always been so vital: to bring us together with shared stories, new perspectives and some belly-laughs along the way. 

To date, we have filmed 9 major theatrical productions, distributed 6 of them to 44 venues across rural, regional and remote Australia to thousands of appreciative arts-lovers across the country. We have employed hundreds of film and theatre artists and performers, many of whom are hurting from the crises at hand.  

Australian Theatre Live is a not-for-profit organisation. Your donation can assist us in rolling out more online theatre screenings, including providing online education packages to schools either free or at a low cost. If we exceed our goal, we can release additional titles that have been filmed but not yet released.
