Austin's journey to his voice

Our son Austin is currently on a grant that provides seven hours of the forty a week recommended for ABA therapy. ABA therapy has been recognized as life changing for any child on the Autism Spectrum regardless of where they fall on the spectrum. We are reaching out as we have seen the most improvement in Austin on this almost three year journey of evaluations and therapy in ABA. Doctors that recommended it including the neuropsychologist that studied his brain and seizure activity, told us with Austin's particular case they believed it would be life changing. On a seven hour a week grant it has been so we can only imagine what forty hours a week would give birth to.

As I discuss in the video Disability Medicaid Insurance in the State of Texas does not cover ABA therapy unlike California, which does. I did not pack my bags and leave as soon as I was informed only because he was diagnosed with Epilepsy in January of 2017 and I want to remain near his team. He was seizing very two to three hours until a God sent specialist intervened and stopped the seizures, after a week of trying. Otherwise it would have been easy to take my son where help is given and seen as what it is, a life changing miracle.
