Austin, Hannah and Baby Norah

Donation protected
On Saturday morning March 30th Austin Shires woke up with a terrible headache and vomiting, my daughter Hannah called 911 immediately, they arrived and Austin was taken to Spartanburg Regional medical center in Spartanburg SC. After arriving in the ER and many test it was found that Austin has DVST ( dural venous sinus thrombosis) a very rare (3 in 1 million) diagnosis that has caused several blood clots to form in the venous vessels of his brain. Austin was admitted to the Neuro icu in SRMC and Sunday morning his condition worsened and he was put on a ventilator and transferred to Greenville Hospital in Greenville SC which is where we are now, at this point Austin has remained on a ventilator and had swelling of the brain which has not increased or decreased he is responsive to commands and can hear you talking to him and even this morning he wrote on A piece of paper “baby born?” Because you see Austin and Hannah are expecting a baby girl Norah Grey, in 3 weeks, yes my daughter is 37 weeks pregnant with Her and Austin’s first child a baby girl that Austin is so much in love with! Austin is going to be such a good daddy!! We have faith that he is going to pull through! During this difficult time the doctors have told us that he is not out of the woods and could remain here for 2-3 weeks, which will come right up to Norah’s due date, depending on his condition when he DOES wake up there could be Rehab and physical therapy. At this point we know nothing more than day to day, thank god Austin does have medical insurance, but he does not have any type leave through his work or paid time off, Austin is a welder and has only been in his new job for several months, Hannah has a new job also at a physician office and has no paid time or leave and is out now with Austin and will be on maternity leave soon. Austin is not only an awesome provider and love of my daughters life, going to a great daddy, he is a loving son, (his mama’s baby), a brother, friend to many, including my sons best friend, my future son in law, and an awesome musician and music lover. Austin and Hannah are going to continue to have medical, living expenses and day to day expenses of living at the hospital and taking care of their soon to come baby girl. They have amazing support of both of their families and friends but we are asking anyone who could donate anything toward their account to help this young couple, and mainly continue your prayers for healing! Thank everyone in advance.
