AUS Rhythmic Gymnastics Group

We are members of the Australian National Senior International Group, and we need your help financially to help us make the 2020 Olympics and help us become the first Australian group to ever compete at an Olympic Games. Our sport is Rhythmic Gymnastics. Rhythmic Gymnastics combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance,  apparatus manipulation, strength, power, flexibility, agility, dexterity, endurance and hand-eye coordination. We compete in the group division of competition. This is where we work collectively to create a highly synchronised routine, through immense coordination and skill. The Olympic qulification for 2020, has changed for the oceanic region, allowing us this opportunity to really push for Olympic selection. The group has been together since 2014, and we have had 2 new members join within the last 6months. The Australian National Senior International Group members are:  Alannah Mathews, Alexandra Eedle, Alexandra Teixeira, Emily Abbot, Himeka Onoda and Felicity White.

Over the years, this group has been highly successful. We have consecutively been named State Champions and Australian National Champions for Group. We have competed in World Cups in Pesaro, Italy and Sofia, Bulgaria along with international tournaments in Poland. We have also have had training camps in Germany and Bulgaria. We have also made history by competing at the 2018 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria- a first for Australia in 10 years. With out most recent achievement placing 15th AA at the Pesaro World Cup with a new high score of 35.700.

Our team has made multiple sacrifices inorder to hopefully make history in 2020. We have had 2 gymnasts solely move states to train and compete, leaving family in other states. Collectively, we have had to adjust our studies to part time, inorder to fully train for our ultimate goal. Many of us are self funded, meaning we have had to take up jobs in order to pay for training, competition, travel, physio, equipment, leotards and general living costs.

Our entire team is fully self funded, so we are extremely grateful for the opportunities we have to represent our beautiful country. In order to achieve our ultimate goal of the 2020 Olympics, we need to compete and train overseas more frequently. Currently, we fund training, competition, travel, physio, equipment, leotards, matching training apparal and tracksuits. We train 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year inorder to achieve our goal of 2020.  This goal is all we have ever wanted for ourselves and our country, Australia. We want nothing in our way to help us achieve our goals, this is why we would love some help from you.

Any form of dontation is utterly appreciated by us members! PLEASE SHARE our page, on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and any other social media platform. The more exposure we are given, the more chances we have to compete for our country Australia.Your support means so much to us all!
