House Fire Fund, Aunt Yessy & Kids

For those of you who don't know us, there was a terrible fire at aunt Yecenia's house. Yecenia and her daughters Jennifer, Paola, and Pamela were all alseep when the fire started. Thankfully Paola, who is 7 months pregnant, woke up and was able to wake her mom and sisters so they could escape the fire. Yecenia was hospitalized briefly, for smoke inhallation, but miraculously no one else was seriously hurt.
The local fire department is still investigating the fire. We'd already flown there to help and we've gotten them a hotel room to stay in for a couple of days.
We think the house is still structurally sound, but we're being told there is very little that can be salvaged from the fire. They've lost almost everything. All of their personal belongings from clothes and shoes, to furniture and photos, even the basics like toiletries and towels, everything save for the clothes they were wearing when they escaped the fire.
They live in Guerra, which is a small town east of Santo Domingo. People already struggle a lot in this area, the average wage in the DR is only $200/month. Most people there don't have much at all, much less any savings or insurance.
For those of you who don't know them, Yecenia, Jennifer, Paola, and Pamela are some of the most thoughtful and selfless people we know. While they don't have much, they are always willing to help others, but now they need our help.
We are already helping as much as we can and we're going to keep helping. So please consider donating any amount, big or small, to help this wonderful family pick up the pieces and carry on.
Any money raised will be used to help them replace their lost belongings such as food, clothing, and furniture, and help them rebuild their lives. We greatly appreciate any and all donations made to Yecenia, Jennifer, Paola and Pamela!
