Denise's Dream Team

I would like to start by taking a minute to sincerely thank all of the supporters of bringing Denise home. Denise Roberts is an amazing mother of 4 wonderful children, Josh, Cameron, Aaron, and Kayla..second mother to several nieces, nephews, and "adopted children", grandma of 4 rowdy boys who love her so much, and the love of Mark Warren's life. Denise is also a great Sister, Mother in Law, Sister in Law, wonderful friend to many, a strong woman and a faithful follower of our lord and savior. Denise was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation and since July 3rd 2013 she has endured 16 surgeries and endless months at USC hospital (including weeks in the ICU) and rehabilitation centers. Denise's condition has quickly taken her from an active member in the community, playful grandma, and independent woman to being diagnosed quadriplegic and needing full assistance with daily activities that most of us take for granted. Last week the doctors were working on a discharge plan when Denise took a turn for the worse. Denise was moved to the ICU after developing pneumonia caused by aspiration and was placed on a ventilator. Since then, doctors have decided that Denise will benefit from having a trach inserted to assist her breathing. Her family and friends, along with the power of prayer, are hoping Denise will push through this and be able to come home in the future. If anyone knows Denise, they know how much she loves her home. Unfortunately, her home will need a serious makeover to make it handicap accessible before she can come home. This is a huge expense. The family has exhausted all financial resources and has been taking time off from work to drive to LA daily to support Denise in her recovery and make many difficult medical decisions for Denise's future care. This family is so selfless and are always willing to lend a hand for those in need. My hopes of this go fund me account is to provide some financial relief to this family who are overcome by much bigger challenges and decisions to be made. This account will allow the family to continue to make all necessary trips to LA, it will assist in the financial costs of any necessary construction needed before bringing her home, and all other unexpected needs that may come along the way. Brittany Roberts continues to update family and friends of Denise's condition on FB as often as she can. I, as well as Denise's entire family truly and sincerely appreciate any donation made.
