Augustus' Top Surgery Fund
I am simply overwhelmed by the love I have felt since coming out. Every single person that stands behind me, I thank you so, so, so much. I have never asked for monetary donations before, and it feels weird to, but it's either that or a loan, and I need to put this money aside as soon as possible. I'm working on it myself, selling a lot of my higher-priced items (anyone want to buy a Honda 2011 cbr250r?), I canceled nearly all my subscriptions, limiting my eating out to 2x and only with friends, etc.
My Top Surgery Date has an official date of Dec 28th 2017. However, I am on a waiting list to have it done earlier so I need to get my funds as soon as possible. I have my next semester starting date of August 20th, but I need recovery time and such so I'm working hard to figure this out. It'll be in San Francisco with Dr. Mosser as the surgeon.
This covers some of the direct cost of the surgery, travel, car, room/board, etc. If you are able to help with that as well, I would love to take you up on it.
In thinking of how I can give you something in return for helping me, I recorded a rough cut (I have no idea how to mess with Garageband) of the song I premiered at the Affirmation 2016 Confrence. (Affirmation is a organization for the community of LGBT+ people and their families who have a Mormon/LDS background.)
I also have a more recent song called "Second Coming" which a few handful of Affirmation leadership got to heard in May, it's not 100% done, but will be likely by surgery date.
IF YOU DONATE: Anyone who donates will get a digital copy of "Abandon Me," assuming they leave their name and contact me, as well as "Second Coming" at a later date.
$15 AND OVER: I also have a song that I recorded about a year ago, and never did anything with. It's a fully amateurly produced song. Very, very few people have heard it, but you will get to be one of the first with a digital copy of "The Hero" of donations over $15.
$30 AND OVER: A personal card to those of you who donated, before/after pictures (you can opt out of these), and a promise that if I ever release an album, you can get it before I release it.
$50 AND OVER: I have that same song ("The Hero") recorded also when I was pre-T my junior year of high school. It's less produced, but you'll be able to compare my voice before T, during T, and sometime in the future when my voice stops changing and I again re-record the song. These people are promised a digital copy of the future version, as well as get a digital copy of my pre-T version. My pre-T version I don't ever plan to release, so this will be pretty special in tiny chance I go anywhere with music. (LOL, but really if you want to help me with that, feel free to message me.)
$100 AND OVER: Entire raw footage of what I can record while on this journey (HIGH QUALITY IF YOU'VE SEEN MY CAMERA :D), the edited journey eventually before anyone else sees it, and a recording of a cover of whatever song you want me to do + I will really try to figure out GarageBand for you so it sounds really nice.
Also, I want to let everyone know that if people help me, I plan to one day do the same for another and pay it forward. Hopefully by finishing my major of Chemical Engineering at ASU, I'll be able to do so.
