Augie's on-the-mend Fund

Update:  Augie has two more weeks with his casts until we get to X-ray the leg and see how its healing.  He is in great spirits, considering all he's been through.  I wanted to thank you all who have donated, it means the world that there are so many people out there willing to help.  We are close to our goal, but not there yet.  Any donation large or small will help!

A friend of mine introduced to me to a picture of Augie on Facebook.  He had recently been involved in a series of unfortunate events; he was hit by a car, then attacked by a dog.  He had a large arm wound and had broken his left front leg, from what I had understood.  The woman who had rescued him needed funding for his surgery.  The friend who introduced me to him on FB, and I, donated money for it.  I met him a day after his surgery and fell in love.  I ended up adopting him a few days later...

After bringing him home, I thought to myself that it didn't make sense to have such a large wound wrapped under a cast, so I brought him into the B Street Vet to have him looked at.  They immediately sent me to the VCA of San Diego, where I was told he in-fact had an infection in the wound, the pin from his previous surgery had been sticking through his skin underneath the cast, and he actually had broken his right leg as well (in addition to his left leg being broken).  Both of the vet offices I went to told me that if I wanted him to be a normal dog again, he'd have to have another surgery to correct the botched surgery on his left leg.  

So here I am...I've totally fallen head over heals for this dog.  He fits so well into my little family and I want to turn his bad luck around.  I would be so grateful for any financial help for his surgery since it's costing way more than we could've imagined from the outset.  

Anything big or small would help.
