Randy Harris to AAU JUNIOR OLYMPICS

Hi my name is Randy Harris (uncle Johnny and aunt Courtney's nephew). I am raising money to travel and compete at the AAU JUNIOR OLYMPICS in Des Moines, Iowa from July 27th-August 2nd. Last year, there were 47 states and over 10,000 athletes competing.  This is literally a chance of a life time for me because I can't participate next year because I will be too old.

I recently participated and qualified for Junior Olympics at first the District (just Virginia) and then the Region Five AAU Track and Field Championships in Suffolk Va. Region Five consists of North Carolina and Virginia while the District meet was the entire state of Virginia. I placed second in the high jump and fourth in the long jump in my age group, which qualified me for the Junior Olympics. I have been running track and field for only 7 weeks now. I get better each week and never thought I would be in a position to attend a meet of this caliber. It is my hope that participating at Junior Olympics will help me reach my full potential this year.
