Im asking for help with a heavy heart.
My friend Alex Hernandez is battling leukemia. My family and I have known Alex and his family since he was born. We have recieved terrible news that he has only a few days left. While still conscious he told his parents that he wants to be cremated. Since then he is no longer responsive and could pass any day. Im asking for help because he and his parents have been in this long battle for over 10 years now. The hospital has advised his parents to start preparing for his funeral. His mother Laura has not left his side since he was admitted. His Father Juan has not been able to leave Port Charlotte because he has to stay to start prepping for his sons passing. He is trying to make it back to St. Petersburg to spend his sons final moments with him.
They have spent countless funds with all of the medical and traveling expenses. We are asking for anything to help the Hernandez family with the expenses they will have. Please, anything will help.
UPDATE: Alex Passed around 1:30am on Saturday 6/28/14. Your Family, Your Friends, and Your Community will surely miss you and your smile. May you Rest in Peace my friend.
