Athy to Auckland

Since 1880 Athy Rugby Club has been at the heart of the rugby community. Our club is growing with an ambitious future for our members, putting our community at it’s heart.  

Athy RFC is very proud to field both men’s and a women’s team at senior level.   Hundreds of children and teenagers cross the whitewash every week with hopes and dreams of playing in the blue and white of Athy RFC. Those hopes and dreams are realised through the hard work of its members and the continued support of the wider community. 

To raise funds for the maintenance of our playing facilities we are asking you all to be part of our 18,203Km walk from Athy to Auckland (#Athy2Auckland ) this January.

Every step counts and every cent helps so all supporters, old or young, past or present, at home or abroad can play their part by getting moving and donating as much as they can  or adding a few kilometres to the total. If you are in position to do both, all support will be greatly appreciated.

With the money raised, some much needed repairs will be carried out to our Astro pitches and we also hope to upgrade the training lights around our pitches.
