Athena,Serena & Cassia Relief Funds

On Monday May 4th, my sister Serena Reyes age 20, her baby Cassia age 5 months and sister Athena Reyes age 18 were traveling towards Orlando to Serena's home after an extended time of self quarantining. They had plans of traveling to Tallahassee to look for a new residence for Athena to attend Florida State University. Tragedy struck while traveling northbound on interstate 75 at approximately 10 a.m. The vehicle left the road and flipped four times and landed on its side stopped by a treeline. All three we're immediately rushed to Tampa general hospital with varying severity of injuries. Some of the injuries include a  collapsed lung, broken bones, and many lacerations of different degrees. Athena and Cassia have since been discharged (May 9th) to recover from their injuries away from the hospital. Serena still remains in the trauma unit at Tampa General. She has not been able to be  visited by family due to current hospital restrictions.  We also lost a beloved Chihuahua  a family member of 8 years, "Poppy" in the accident. 


In addition to your prayers in our tragic time we will be in need of financial support as well. Due to the extent of their injuries, my sisters will not be able to work. My mother will be caring for Athena. Scott, Serena's husband will be caring for her and their daughter. 


It is our hope to raise enough money to supplement their loss of income and medical expenses. My mother is a Barber and has been out of work due to Covid-19. Scott has quit his job to provide care for Serena and Cassia.
