Help Dawn L. beat Lyme Disease

My friend Dawn is an amazing woman. She is kind, generous and
giving. She is a person who cares for others whole-heartedly in her personal
life and at work. She is bubbly and loves to laugh and she has Lyme disease.
Dawn has been fortunate in that as a health care professional, she is a pediatric nurse at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, she knew that her symptoms were more than what the medical community was writing them off as. She was persistent and determined and advocated amazingly for herself and finally got a diagnosis. Unfortunately for Dawn, that diagnosis is Lyme disease and Lyme disease is not a disease the Canadian health care system offers medical treatment for. This means that Dawn has to go to the United States and pay out of pocket for extremely expensive Doctors' visits and medical treatments.
Dawn was originally diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2009 and after receiving some treatment spent a couple of years happy and healthy. Over the summer, Dawn's symptoms returned and forced her to go on extended sick leave. Her symptoms are plenty and include neurological symptoms, mood swings, loss of balance, waking up chocking on her own vomit. This disease is physically, mentally and emotionally taxing AND it is not acknowledged here in Canada.
Please help Dawn get the help she needs in the States. Please help her pay for these medical bills.
