Ted - what can you say about Ted. He is the most precious soul I have ever come across. He is more than a pet, more than just a dog! He is just the best, and perfect in everyway. He is such a lovely dog, so laid back, friendly with everyone and everything... he is my absolute world !! I can not convey who and what he is in words!
Everyone who meets him, falls in love with his beautiful personality
Ted's story
He ruptured a disc in 2017. (he was jumped on by another big dog) just one of those things but his back is not insured
His operation went really well in 2017. but his disc has ruptured again. I spent just over £8500 on his treatments, operation and after care at the time.
And I would spend every penny I have on keeping Ted fit and well and I do! But after being ripped off by a builder which has left my house half finished and me with virtually no money left and my current job finishing in December, I have nothing left in the Pot at the moment for Ted.
He has been showing signs that he may need further medical help which would most likely involve an operation,
Lumbosacral distraction stabilisation surgery
An extremely effective surgical treatment for dogs with lumbosacral disease where compression of the nerve roots is present, and pathological lumbosacral instability is suspected. This technique involves distraction (stretching) of the lumbosacral joint by placing a custom made titanium bolt between the vertebrae, and provision of additional stability using either pins and bone cement or a pedicle screw system similar to the systems used in human spinal surgery.
The approx cost for Ted going forward is
MRI scan to determine whether he will be a good candidate for the operation £2500.
The operation that he might be able to have upto £7500
Ted is already on Pain killers daily and I keep up with all the advice that I was given and including homeopathy treatments to keep him feeling as comfortable as possible but it is a degenerative issue, so will, I know, get worse as he gets older but he is only 7 and could have such a long and wonderful life ahead of him, if he is able to have this operation. ( I will not know until he has the MRI scan if he is a good candidate or not but if he has the scan the op with have to be done imminently if possible
So any help I can get towards this pending vets bill for the most precious soul i have ever come across would be more than appreciated
