UPDATE
We have raised $2,000, which will be enough to fund broadcasts not only for this year, but future years as well! The money raised will be used to purchase:
- An encoder and converter to make live streaming possible
- A switcher to mix video, audio and graphics, while also switching between cameras
- A basic graphics package for a score bug
- Basic audio equipment for announcer sound and minimal arena noise
If able to raise funds past $2,000, it would allow us to:
- Purchase a better graphics package or add animation to otherwise still graphics
- Add quality to sound and picture, for camera, announcers and in-arena
- Ensure stabilization with streams all season long and beyond

The Arizona State Women’s Hockey team is raising money to fund video broadcasts for 2018-19 home games and beyond! Money raised will go towards the purchase of an encoder to allow for games to be streamed live, a switcher that allows for a multi-camera broadcast, a graphics engine to provide additional information to fans in addition to the live commentary. Funds raised past the goal will be used to even further enhance broadcasts, beginning with overall quality and continuing on to audio, visual, graphical and back-end improvements. Equipment purchased with funds raised will be used to stream ASU Women’s Hockey home games in conjunction with the Walter Cronkite Sports Network for the 2018-19 season, as well as games in future season with the possibility for broadcasts of neutral-ice and tournament games as well with a goal of steaming the first home game of the season on November 2, 2018 against Colorado State University.
The ASU Women's Hockey team is entering their third season at the ACHA D1 level and coming off a 2017-18 campaign where the Sun Devils received their first ever playoff bid to compete in the WWCHL playoffs and finished as the nation's 15th-ranked team. With an expanded roster and increased talent this year, the team is poised to make another run to the conference playoffs and beyond.
