Astutia for Girls in STEAM

My name is Yannie Tan, a junior at Atlanta International School in Atlanta, GA. I founded Astutia, an organization that empower girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). Since today, only 28% of all of the world’s researchers are women, too many girls are held back by discrimination, biases, social norms and expectations that influence the quality of education they receive and the subjects they study. Girls’ under-representation in STEAM education puts a detrimental brake on progress towards sustainable development.

My mission is to create a STEAM competition with the winning prizes for two categories (Middle and High school) for girls to foster a passion for STEAM fields, but my effort for this mission won’t reach its maximum effectiveness unless I have the backing of the communities.

If you are inclined to help out, please click to assist in funding this project! This is definitely a time that you'll know exactly where your money will go. We'll post pictures as we announce the winners! Thank you very much for your consideration.

Senior and Junior Category Prizes: (2x)
First Place: $500
Second Place: $300
Third Place: $250

Your support would be greatly appreciated by the Astutia Organization and more importantly all the female students who are looking for an opportunity to shine in STEAM!

I would like to express my sincere thanks to you in advance for your support and generosity. Any amount is appreciated!

Thank you.
