Help Me Say Goodbye to My Great-Grandmother

Hi, my name is Makayla, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support. On Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, I lost my great-grandmother, Lillian Keziah Prince, after a long battle with several health issues. Just five months ago, I experienced the devastating loss of my mother, Ancille Prince, who passed away after a short but aggressive fight with stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

The pain of losing two very important women in my life, so close together, is something I can’t even begin to put into words.

My great-grandmother’s funeral is being held in another state, and unfortunately, I do not have the financial means to attend. Between grieving, trying to recover emotionally, and handling life after my mother’s passing, I’ve found myself in a position where I simply can’t afford the travel, lodging, or emergency expenses on my own.

I’m hoping to raise $2,100 to cover:

Transportation to and from the funeral

A place to stay while I attend services

Emergency expenses that may come up during the trip

Being there to say my final goodbye means everything to me. My great-grandmother helped guide and mold my mother into the amazing woman and mother that she was, and missing this moment would be heartbreaking.
