Asking For Help To Ease The Burden On Our Parents

Donation protected
The Wallace family has recently had their lives changed forever due an unexpected and tragic accident.

On September 13th, our parents, Brian and Tiffany Wallace, left for Santa Barbara for a much-needed camping vacation. They were tragically involved in a hit and run accident which left the truck and trailer they were travelling in overturned in a ditch on the side of the freeway, less than 45 minutes from home. Thankfully, another driver who witnessed the accident stopped and called for help. They were rushed to the hospital and have both been through several surgeries in less than a week’s time.

Our mom had surgery on her broken knee and multiple surgeries on her arm which was fractured into several pieces. Her prognosis is positive, and we hope to have her home very soon.

Our dad’s injuries are unfortunately much more severe and long-lasting. After undergoing his first surgery to straighten his spinal column, we received confirmation of the unimaginable. The doctor informed us that his spinal cord was severed and that he would be paralyzed from the chest down.

This is one of the worst things that any family could go through, but it has also opened our eyes to the magnitude of love and support that our family has in this world. The immense outpouring of prayers, thoughts, messages, and meals has been incredible, and has really helped our family cope during this time.

We have started this GoFundMe account to ease the burden on our parents. They will have to change so much in their everyday lives once they are both home from the hospital. From mobility transportation to retrofitting their home to accommodate a wheelchair, and probably many other things we haven’t even thought of yet.

Our parents deserve to be happy and we don’t want this setback to keep them from living their lives to the fullest way possible. We believe alleviating the financial burden of some of the expenses caused by this accident is a good start.  That way they can focus on healing, both physically and mentally.

The main goals of this fundraising campaign are to:

1. Purchase a wheelchair transport van for our dad

2. Cover expenses for retrofitting their home for mobility

Our parents are the most giving and supportive people…not only to us, their children, but to the rest of their family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. They have always been the first to volunteer their time and talents whether it be for our school, the church, or their community. They have provided us with a loving home, good schooling, and a wonderful life. We want to do this for them in their time of need to give back and say “thank you” from us and all those who care for them.

From the bottom of our hearts we humbly ask for your support, whether financial (any amount will help) or with your prayers, and that you share this link with your friends and family.

The Wallace family thanks you and may God bless each and every one of you!

Lovingly,

Zachary, Amanda, and Jacob Wallace
