Lily's Helpers

My dear friends and family.....I am asking for your help. Since moving to Denham Springs, Louisiana I have met only a few folks. One of them is the Shelton family. Heather Shelton, her husband Dale and three kids, Madison (10), William (7), and Lily (2). Heather is one of the most giving and wonderful people I have ever met. She does so much for everyone. Always there with a helping hand, hug or just lend an ear. In the last 6 months Heather and her family have had a tremendous amount of heartache....losing her father very suddenly, a couple months later her sister passed very unexpectedly, and among all this Lily her sweet 2 year old started having troubles. Lily has completely regressed to no longer talking, walking, eating or sleeping well. They have been to specialist after specialist who have identified it as a mytochondryl disease. This diagnoses encompasses a mirad of neuorological diseases. I spoke to her earlier today and now Lily is scheduled for a muscle biopsy and a feeding tube. Among this new development she lost her aunt yesterday in a car accident! I assure you I am not making this up! They travel to New Orleans almost every week for Lily's appointments. We all know how costly medical services can be, let alone gas, parking, etc! If you all could please find it in your heart to give whatever you can to a family who always gives what they have, I would truly appreciate it. Of course it goes about saying that prayers are greatly appreciated most of all! God's Blessings to you all...thank you.
