Ashtin’s Road to the 2024 Olympic Games

Hello Friends & Family!

If you don’t know me already, my name is Ashtin (Zamzow) Mahler and I’m a professional track & field athlete who competed for Team USA in the World Championships in 2022 and placed 11th in the World.

I’ve created this go-fund-me in hopes that I will be able to travel and compete at all the necessary meets for me to qualify for this years Olympic Games in Paris!

I wish I was able to cover the cost of all the necessary expenses, but I’ve used a lot of my savings to recover from a nagging injury I faced over the past year that completely took me out of competing in 2023. A year ago, a torn calf kept me from competing and maintaining my world rank. This drop in status discontinued the athletic support I needed such as grants, health insurance, and prize money that I had received the year before when I’d placed 11th at the World Championships. I'm completely healthy now and ready to take my spot back on Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Fortunately, I have the funds to travel to local meets around Nashville to compete in single events to prepare myself for a full Heptathlon (seven events over two days). But the two most important and most costly meets for my Olympic Journey will be in Tenerife, Spain in May and the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon at the end of June.
