Ashlie & Lee's IVF journey

Hi, my name is Nicolle and I am fundraising for my amazing sister and her partner's IVF journey.

Ashlie & Lee are just about to start their 6th round of IVF. Ashlie has had 6 miscarriages, 5 rounds of IVF and 2 failed transfers so far.

Their journey to date has cost around £30,000, taking out loans and putting themselves into financial difficulties in the hope that they will achieve their miracle.

With Ashlie's complex history, for this next round they are wanting to do things slightly differently to increase their chances which therefore means more cost.

They are also looking at alternative therapies/treatments to do alongside and also further increase their chances but of course this also comes at an increased cost.

Ashlie will be undergoing a 12week course of acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine & hypnotherapy as these all have evidence to suggest that they can increase success rates by up to 60%.

Ashlie & Lee have now exhausted all financial options, they have tried to get another loan through the back but due to the amount of loans already taken out to cover the treatment costs, unfortunately the bank has declined any further loans. Their wardrobes are empty from selling everything on vinted to try raise funds and all savings accounts are now empty.

This is so unfair and it's heartbreaking that it has to come down to money to have a baby when so many people take it for granted.

If you are lucky enough to know my sister you will know that this is all she has ever wanted and herself & partner will make the most amazing parents, so many amazing people have already helped along their journey but unfortunately I'm here asking for help once again.

With each round of IVF comes another load of cost & stress and with every loss or failure it becomes harder and harder to carry on but she is not ready to quit!

I have set the target at £3100 as this will cover the treatment from the IVF clinic and also the alternative therapies.

Ashlie is also self employed and her work can be physical and strenuous so part of the funds raised will go towards staff cover to ensure that she can rest following embryo transfer which is crucial to its success.
