Ashley's Breast Cancer Fight

Donation protected
Daughter. Mother. Friend. Wife.

On November 22, 2017, our dear friend Ashley, was diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer. As we try to come to terms with her diagnosis and upcoming treatments, we have no doubt she will come through this fight stronger than ever. On December 7, she starts chemotherapy, the first of several steps in a year long treatment plan. Her prognosis is positive but the road over the next several months will definitely be a challenge.

Even though Ashley works for a company that provides health insurance, the medical bills continue to add up. We are reaching out to our amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help, in any capacity. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be a huge help to Ashley during the next few months. Any donations given will go to the cost of test and procedures, the surgery, and chemotherapy costs.

Ashley's story is below:

Three weeks ago I had a dream I had breast cancer. The dream was so vivid it woke me up and I had the overwhelming feeling I needed to do a self exam, so I did and I felt a lump. I was not concerned, thinking there is no way it could be anything. Our family had already been down this road with my mom and checked the “cancer” box. Well, after many tests, I received the news I never thought I would hear, I have breast cancer. I spent a week in shock, angry, and asking why is this happening to me. We had finally gotten that angel baby we had prayed for years for, and life was at an amazing place. Although I don’t have any of the answers, one thing I do know is God is faithful and he is going to get me through this. That dream was no coincidence, and I keep telling myself “he led me to it, and he is going to lead me through it”. For everyone who already knows and has been my prayer warriors, I am forever grateful. Through the most difficult two weeks of my life, I am seeing daily reminders of his grace and his answering of prayers. Cancer has picked the wrong girl and now I am ready to kick cancer’s ass!

**Please Note**  Any funds collected that Ashley does not end up needing to cover the costs outlined above will be promptly donated to causes that help the other women battling cancer around the country.
