Help me to help South Africa

Hello! My name is Ashley, and I am a Senior at UNC Greensboro, studying Communications and Media Studies. In my years at UNCG, I have grown to understand the importance of giving back to your community. During my time in school, I have tutored elementary aged students in reading and math, worked at a summer camp in Virginia, and volunteered at local events in the Triad. I have developed a passion for volunteering and have come to appreciate the value in making a positive impact on young minds, seeing them grow, and helping them to succeed.

I am overjoyed to have an opportunity to volunteer in South Africa next summer. I will be helping elementary aged children with their English, building a new school, helping with conservation work on cheetah and crocodile farms, and constructing clean water systems. This is a two week program and I will be traveling with Volunteer Eco Students Abroad. As I lack the funding for this trip, I would be so grateful for any help in making this happen. The funds that are raised will be put towards a passport, travel insurance, a plane ticket, accommodations, and volunteer materials.
