Hello all! Thank you so much for all the kind and generous donations. Ashley and Taylor are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support they have received during this tough time. Here is an update on how everyone is doing.
as of yesterday (9-12-23) baby girl was moved to cmc! She has overcome the blood infection she was born with and was cleared of any brain injuries that were a concern from her traumatic birth. At this point baby girl is growing and getting stronger.
However, Ashley has experienced some setbacks with health. She contracted a severe infection at her incision site from her C-section. This then lead to some other side effects that are causing lots of discomfort.
On the bright side, now that baby girl is at CMC in Manchester she is so much closer to home for Ashley and Taylor. This also means that Ashley is able to actually stay at the hospital with her and not have to say goodbye each night.
Thank you all again for your support! I will update everyone again soon.
Hi, my name is Kim and I am Ashley’s long time friend. As most of you know, Ashley and Taylor received the amazing news that, after a year of IVF, they were going to be parents. The sweet baby girl was supposed to be due in October of this year. Unfortunately, Ashley’s water broke while she was only 29 weeks. The sweet baby girl managed to grow for a few weeks after Ashley’s water broke before she made her special debut into this world at only 32 weeks.
Ashley was under close watch and given wonderful care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for about a month before she was discharged. Baby Raisanen is a strong little fighter and is making progress everyday, but has a long road ahead as there were many serious complications that occurred both before and during her traumatic birth.
Ashley and Taylor are currently commuting to Lebanon to see their sweet little girl every day. They are unable to work during this time and with all they are going through they deserve all the help they can get. Ashley has dedicated her life to teaching kiddos in NH and would give the shirt off her back for ANY of her students both past and present. Unfortunately, the district she teaches in does not do the same for its teachers. She is facing numerous medical bills and even may have to pay back the district for the portion of her health insurance that they cover for the time she will be unable to work.
let’s help make this scary and stressful situation a little easier for this amazing family. Any donations will go towards paying the mounting medical bills as well as the everyday bills that will add up as both Ashley and Taylor are out of work to be by their little girls side. Any funds remaining after everything is taken care of will be donated to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Lebanon Birthing Pavilion and NICU. Thank you so much for your help!
