Ashley Manning Chemo Treatments
Our daughter-in-law Ashley Manning will be 29 in 3 weeks and is the love of our Son Jeff’s life and the Mom to our wonderful Grandson Braxton who will turn 4 in two weeks. Ashley was diagnosed with Stage ll Cervical Cancer November 20th last year. She had her first surgery on November 27 and a second surgery in early December. She went into remission in April this year. She started feeling unwell again in June and was officially diagnosed as being out of remission in July (Stage l). She was scheduled in September to run more tests and schedule a hysterectomy. The tests revealed that the cancer had entered her blood and she was now at a Stage lll. The doctors told her that if they did not do aggressive chemo immediately that she would not be here next year at this time.
This aggressive chemo treatments require 2 hour procedures weekly for 12 weeks. She started on October 3rd and has had 5 procedures and is responding well. There is a 98% success rate from this aggressive procedure.
She has cancer insurance so these chemo treatments would have cost $90,000 but the out of pocket is $10,000. Jeff and Ashley work at Battle Born Harley Davidson and they have been very accommodating and understanding to her so she will continue to work through the chemo sessions that are making her weak.
Those that know me realize I normally do not ask for monetary help that benefits my direct family; but, this is necessary to continue treatments to assure my Grandson has a Mom to be here for him. Even a little bit $5 will add up and if you cannot donate please keep Ashley in your prayers.
Thank you my Friends and Family. I love you!
