Asher & Eric Erickson Guatemala missions trip
Donation protected

Hello!
On March 1 I (Asher) will be taking my first mission trip to Guatemala with my dad. For many years my dad has been going down with the Bridge of Hope team to build homes for widows and work with the school and feeding program they started 12 years ago.
I know it’s been quite a while since I have seen many of you but I’m asking for your prayers and to please consider a donation of any amount to help me with the cost of the trip. I would love to take you along on this adventure through your support, I know this trip is truly a life changer.
We are raising our funds to go down and build 12 homes for widows that don't have a home of their own. Our donations will allow us to travel there, live with the locals for a week and fund the cost of building materials for two homes that we will build with the team and dedicate on behalf of those that can donate. Our trip is $1200 each and $500 for two of the 12 houses built.
Over the last 12 years past teams have brought the love of Christ to the widows and families in the Ixil triangle in the mountains of Central Guatemala (Its a 10 hour bus ride into the mountains north of Guatemala City). This area was decimated by over 20 years of a violent civil war. The stories of the widows losing everything is heartbreaking but when the Bridge of Hope teams are asked why do they go all the way down there in these remote mountainous villages, the reason is simple because nobody else does.
Many widows on past trips have said “I’ve prayed to God for 30 years for someone to help, your group is the answer to those prayers when I thought it wasn’t possible.”
The Bridge of Hope team in the village of Chasis has been providing Christian education and a daily healthy meal for 85 kids over the past 12 years. Previous teams have been able to bless over 300 widows with new homes through the generous donations and lots of miles logged in past years.
Thank you for a donation of any size and for being part of changing lives one life and home at a time and coming along to Guatemala with me and the team. Asher & Dad (Eric)
