Max
On August 21st this young vibrant 17 year old had the worst headache of his life. After many visits to his PCP, Urgent Care, Optometrist, and
Emergency Room, this young man was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On August 27th they
were able to remove 2/3rds of the tumor due to the location inside his right ventricle. The
tumor is a low grade glioma. Shortly after his
1st major brain surgery he was extubated and walking. Then suddenly he was having elevated temperatures and a
step back in his progress. He developed an infection in his spinal fluid, similar to meningitis.
The bug he is fighting is a strong one. Thursday he had his second brain surgery. He is continuing
to fight. This straight A student just started his senior year and actually took college classes over summer. Max is a fighter!
We are asking for your help. Donations received will go to housing so his parents can continue to stay by his side and sleep 5 minutes away, a place where they can shower ,cook food and have the privacy needed to cope with this tragic event. The Ronald McDonald House has super strict restrictions due to Covid. His mom Robin has not left CHLA in 53 days and we want her to have support to stay until she can take him home. They likely will need to be there 4 - 6 more weeks.
Robin Monk is a dear friend of ours. No donation is too small to help support this family.
Tonya, Angela and myself are trying to assist In
any way to help our dear friend and her family.
Thank you
