Arya's Army

You know how you meet someone and you just know that they are your family. That you will choose them to be part of your tribe and they will always be there for you? Well, Jenn is that friend to me. She has been there for me through thick and thin and has given me a gift that no one else has… To be present during the birth of her beautiful baby girl. I have no children of my own, and she gave me the gift of being one of the first people to meet Arya… Who has become one of my best little friends…




Yesterday Jenn, James and Arya received devastating news. Arya, my little best friend, their daughter, was diagnosed with ALL, a form of leukaemia. This little girl with so much spunk, charm and humour is sick and needs treatment, immediately.




Over the coming months she will require chemo, medical procedures and tests at Sick Kids Hospital which translates to multiple trips to Toronto, overnight stays, missed work days for Jenn and James etc. I know from talking to some of you over the last couple of days that they have the strong support of friends and family. Jenn and James shouldn’t have to worry about finances at this time. All of their energy should be focussed on fighting for Arya and meeting her needs.


I have designated Rebecca Wood as the beneficiary of your donations. She is Arya's aunt and Jenn's sister. She will be helping Arya and her family with any financial needs they may have. Any money raised will go to gas cards, parking passes, money for food, rent, bills etc. I promise, every penny raised will get to Jenn and her family. Please help in anyway you can… Let’s get together and show Arya how big her army is.
