Hello Friends and ADBC Family,
As the Golden Girls theme song goes, "Thank you for Being a Friend."
We Love (yes, with a capital "L") being a part of the hospitality industry! Getting to celebrate with you, brightening peoples days, and showing our friends and guests the best of times is the reason we are here. Unfortunately, these are the worst of times, and now we need your help to brighten our days while we aren't allowed to be there for you.
As we are faced with a mandatory closure for the unforeseeable future, and a constantly changing timeline of when we will be able to reopen, our hourly staff has found themselves without the income and tips that they rely upon to survive and provide for their families, and no idea of how long they will be forced live this way. This includes our dishwashers, cooks, bartenders, brewers, bar backs, bar managers, hosts, and maintenance. For many of them, this industry is their only means of income, and when we are forced to close, it affects them all.
If you have ever visited Arts District Brewing and had your first Schwarz bier, latest IPA (and all of the beers in between,) rolled a high score on Skee-ball, had a bad first date, gotten engaged, gone back for a second order of tots, celebrated a retirement, or thrown your dog a birthday party, know that it takes a lot of helping hands to run a brewpub this size. They all need your help so that when we reopen, we can do it the Arts District Brewing way, and return the love that you have shown us.
Any amount that you can give, large or small, can make a world of difference. All donations will be given directly to the hourly staff at Arts District Brewing. After donating, please contact me and I will be sure to buy you a delicious Arts District brew the next time we see you!
This is an extraordinary event that has impacted the lives of every single person in the hospitality industry, so even if you can't donate today, please reach out to your favorite bartender, cook, waiter, hotel concierge, and see if there is something that you can do to help ease their burden. There are also many other groups and organizations dedicated to helping the hospitality industry if you have more to give. We will get through this, but we can't do it alone.
