Artivism Education Fundraiser

This summer, Artivism is focused on the issue of education inequality. We believe that differences in access and quality of education have a significant impact on a student's future. Studies have shown that black and Latino students are disproportionately impacted by education inequality due to their zip codes.

The proceeds of our fundraiser will be going towards the families of the Trenton community via the Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund (LALDEF).

LALDEF's is currently working to help the immigrant population in Mercer County receive better access to health care, education, and legal representation. They advocate for the integration of immigrants and foster inter-cultural communication to strengthen their communities.

By donating to their education sector, we hope to aid the effort of integration through improved education. Adults that are well integrated into their communities can also further provide for their children, lifting the family and ultimately the community into a better position within society.

Due to the Coronavirus, many families in the Trenton community have suffered from unemployment and limited internet access at home. Stress levels are running high for parents, and it is difficult for students to receive academic help. They need our help. Please donate!
