Art for Assistants- Paul Elledge

Donation protected
Hey everyone,

Paul Elledge here and today I want to talk to you about a program called “Art for Assistants” started by photographer Tim Tadder.   Fellow photographer and good friend Jason Lindsey has asked me to join the program and in the near future I will be asking 2 more photographers to join.

We have all felt the impact of COVID-19 in many ways.  One of the impacts in the production world is the lack of income for freelance assistants.   It takes an entire team to make a successful photo shoot happen and some of the hardest working members of our crew are the photo assistants.

In this time period of zero production, it now means zero income for the freelance assistants. "Art for Assistants" is a campaign to turn paper and ink into financial support for freelance photography assistants.  Each participating photographer will donate an image that will be printed in a limited edition of 100 signed prints selling for $100 each.  With the goal to raise ONE MILLION dollars to help our photo assistant community!

All the proceeds with exception to the 3% Go Fund Me fees will go to help our freelance photo assistants during this difficult time period.  The money will cover their living expenses and help to hold them over until productions start up again.

I will be selling an 11 x14 limited edition archival digital print from my “iPhone Once A Day ” series.  This is a series that I have been creating for over ten years.   The work has been shown in galleries both internationally and domestically, collected world wide and can be found at iphoneonceaday.com as well as on Instagram.

Sheltering in place has helped me slow down and look more closely at the world around me.   While practicing “social distancing” I’ve continued working on my iPhone Once A Day Project. I find that the physical limits expands my mental awareness.   I have always believed that making images is not about where my feet are, but for me it is really about where my mind and heart are.

For your donation of $100  or more you will receive a signed and numbered print from a image made specifically during this "Stay at home" period.   The image can be found on this Go Fund Me page.  For donations of $100 or more, please email [email redacted]  with your best mailing address and phone number.  Once we receive confirmation of donation, your limited edition print will be printed and mailed to you at the end of the fundraising campaign.

We encourage you to share this campaign with your audience and greatly appreciate your time, consideration and donations during such a challenging time.

Thank you for you support- We are all in this together!
