Donation protected

FROM US  Sadiath, Coralie , Rebecca AND THE KIDS A BIG THANK YOU !
We are overwhelmed by your support and generosity.
We have reached our first step, 3K ! We will be able to provide all the necessary materials for the workshop for the 30 children that will take part.

Now, we need 4000 euros minimum,
that would allow us to work with a local film maker team to produce a beautiful film so we can share this experience with all of you and take you on our journey.
WE NEED YOU,
the more you donate the more workshops we can create the more kids with a big SMILE.

PAMOJA
was started by us Sadiath, Coralie & Rebecca, because we want to make a difference in our own special way. We’re 3 women of African heritage with a creative background and we are always on the continent either for work or pleasure. This project is really, a way of highlighting and supporting all the talent that exists in Africa with particular attention to girls and women but obviously we’re not excluding boys or men! We just want to create safe educational spaces for all that participate.

PAMOJA is a collective that gives assistance to and endorses creative and sporting initiatives centred around youth and education on the African continent.
We collaborate with associations that share our commitment to provide opportunities for children.

Our goal is to support and facilitate the visions and ambitions these organisations have for young people in their communities.
We believe promoting and sharing  existing youth initiatives that are taking place on the African continent is needed in order to support native voices and local communities.

We are delighted to have joined forces with Africa One Crew to create our first project;  a two day graffiti workshop in Benin focused on the environment . The Fidjrosse Kptota primary school, in the country’s capital city Cotonou,  will host our team of artists who will be sharing their skills with 30 local primary school kids aged between 6 and 12 years old.

We have worked closely with legendary graffiti artist Stash http://mrstash.co  to create an exclusive design for the kids for this workshop.

Although we are directing a great deal of attention on creating a safe space for kids of any gender to explore their imaginative and artistic ideas, we are  particularly focused on attracting girls. Statistically there are always fewer in classrooms than their male counterparts and they are the first to leave the education system often due to poor conditions.

At the present time, 46.7% of Benin's population is under 15 years old and its economy has been on the rise for the last few years but poverty is still rife.  The general level of human development is always improving, the literacy rate for the 15-24 year olds is at 59.9% for boys and 30.8% for girls. Since the arts are not a priority in the education system in Benin, our aim is to first introduce it to school children and hopefully inspire them to develop their creative skills.

Following the amazing work that Africa One Crew started last year we bring you FIDJROS GRAFF, the second edition from the 8th and 9th December 2018

And for this, we need your help!

The workshops will take place over two weekends during the course of December and give 30 children an introduction to the theory and practice of graffiti.

PAMOJA will provide the tools for the workshop and a space for the children to express themselves creatively: Story telling, developing creative skills and using their imagination for a community project.  The children will use their school wall to create graffiti interpretations centred on the theme of ecology and preserving the environment.

Our goal is to raise 3000 euros however we APPRECIATE ANY AMOUNT that is donated!!

If we manage to raise the 3k we can provide all the necessary materials for the workshop for the 30 children that will take part. We need to buy paint brushes, protective gear, spray paints, toiles and papers!

We will also be able to give the kids  a lovely  breakfast, lunch and snacks over 2 days!

The 3k would also give them each a t-shirt with Stash's PAMOJA design as well as a bag with creatives materials.

The bulk of the money will be used for the buying and shipping of the spray paints which are near impossible to find in Benin!

And for the everyone of you that has donated we will be able to collaborate with different Beninese artists and artisans to create something special for you as BIG THANK YOU

If we reach 4000 euros, that would allow us to work with a local film maker team to produce a beautiful film so we can share this experience with all of you and take you on our journey.

We need you, the more you donate the more workshops we can create the more kids with a big SMILE.
