Family lost home due to fire

Hello, my name is Lupe and on March 19,2023 there was a fire in my parents home located in Windhaven Condominiums in Palatine, Illinois. Though, it is unclear how the fire initially started, it spread rather quickly affecting my family, along with 23 other families. My siblings and I grew up there & my parents have lived there for 20+ years. It saddens everyone that it’s no longer salvageable and everything that my parents have worked so hard for when they came here to the U.S, is gone. They have lost valuables that are no longer replaceable and the home that we once knew is destroyed. The damage is too extensive that it is hard to say when the home will be how it once was. Any donations are appreciated and anything helps. Prayers to the all families affected. This is still a hard situation for all of us to grasp. Our lives will never be the same since we lost our childhood home.

Hola, mi nombre es Lupe y el 19 de marzo de 2023 hubo un incendio en la casa de mis padres ubicada en Windhaven Condominiums en Palatine, Illinois. Aunque no está claro cómo comenzó inicialmente el incendio, se propagó con bastante rapidez y afectó a mi familia, junto con otras 23 familias. Mis hermanos y yo crecimos allí y mis padres han vivido allí durante más de 20 años. Entristece a todos que ya no se puede salvar y que todo por lo que mis padres trabajaron tan duro cuando llegaron aquí a los EE. UU. se ha ido. Han perdido objetos de valor que ya no son reemplazables y el hogar que una vez conocimos está destruido. El daño es tan extenso que es difícil decir cuándo la casa volverá a ser como antes. Cualquier donación es apreciada y cualquier cosa ayuda. Oraciones a todas las familias afectadas. Esta sigue siendo una situación difícil de comprender para todos nosotros. Nuestras vidas nunca volverán a ser las mismas desde que perdimos el hogar de nuestra infancia.
