Greetings everyone.
My name is Skye Gray. My friends Nate Alexander, Carly Shibby and I are all great fans of the Star Trek series Deep Space Nine. As you may know, Aron Eisenberg, who played Nog on the series, passed away earlier this year at the age of fifty leaving behind his beautiful wife, Malissa, and his two sons.
Like many fans we were devastated by this event. Thanks to many encounters with Aron and Malissa at conventions over the years we had the good fortune to consider ourselves more than fans of Aron's. We were his friends.
It is our desire to organize our fellow fans through this fundraiser to do something special for his wife, Malissa. Julien's Auctions has put one of Aron's costumes from Deep Space Nine up for sale on their website. It is the costume he wore in the fan favorite episode "Heart of Stone" where Nog explains to Sisko why he wants to join Starfleet.
We know this would mean a lot to Malissa, and it would keep an important piece of Star Trek history with a beloved member of the Star Trek family where it belongs.
The auction ends in 18 days and Julien's expects the costume to reach as high as $2000. It is our hope that we can out bid anyone by the final day of the auction through this fundraiser, and we intend to present the costume to Malissa at the Star Trek Las Vegas convention in August of 2020.
We appreciate everyone's help in this endeavor, and we will gladly meet up with anyone who donates to present this to Malissa together at STLV 2020. If we fail to win the auction we are going to give everything we have raised directly to Aron's family.
