Army Vet Loses Home in Cameron Peak Fire

Bob Rueschhoff, a 74-year-old vet who served in Vietnam, lost everything including his home, out buildings and personal belongings in what has become the largest wildfire in Colorado history.  The fire, which started on August 13th, has burned over 200,000 acres. Bob was evacuated on Labor Day weekend and got out with the clothes on his back, his dog Flower, and his old Chevy truck. Bob is currently living with relatives and is planning to rebuild in the spring. Unfortunately his home was not covered by insurance because of its remote location.

I am organizing this fundraiser for Bob because he is one of the nicest people I know, and a truly wonderful human being. He has helped others all through his life, spending time in the Peace Corp, serving in the Army in Vietnam, and probably one of his most challenging jobs: working the plumbing department at the Louisville, Colorado Home Depot. If you needed plumbing help, he was probably the guy with your answers.
