Armida's Road to Recovery

Please help to bring Armida home to her family and friends

As many of you have heard on October 17 Armida suffered from a brain hemorrhage that led to an Aneurysm.  She was in Las Vegas with her husband Mario celebrating their 50th Anniversary when this very scary incident happened to her and has been at Sunrise Hospital since that day.  With this unexpected event we are very fortunate to have Armida with us today. Mario, and her daughter Renee and other family members have also been staying in Las Vegas during this time of her recovery.  With the exceptional medical care and response to her recovery for 14days; she was released to Rehab on November 2nd which we thought was the final step to getting back home.  Well things took a turn in the wrong direction; while in rehab Ui and Renee both noticed that she had regressed and had many concerns and had to order a Rapid Response Team to do a cat scan and MRI due to her condition.   Results from her testing came back and unfortunately she suffered a stroke (TIA) which is commonly caused by vasospasm(s) from this type of brain injury.   On November 3rd she had to undergo an angioplasty procedure to administer her medication to minimize the reoccurrence of vasospasms.  Armida is currently back in the Neuro ICU unit with round the clock care to hopefully make a full recovery.

Due to the setback; the family is looking at another 2 weeks minimum in Las Vegas getting Armida healthy enough to come home.  So the costs keep adding up.  Throughout this entire time the family has been fortunate to be gifted timeshare weeks at different hotels so that we can be in Las Vegas to be able to give her moral, emotional, spiritual support while she recovers. We can’t thank each and every one of you who have done this to help; taking the stress of where we are staying off of our minds has been a huge relief.  As may continue to learn about Armida’s event, many continue to inquire on how they can help. 

Here’s where we need the help, insurance does not cover the cost of the medical transportation needed and other costs that are preventing us from getting her home quickly to be surrounded by family and friends.  She is  inquiring about many so  the increased support is what she needs on this long road of recovery.  We want to be able to bring her home for rehab. Many family members, friends and clients have reached out offering support and help and wanted to know HOW.  So here’s how, here is the GoFundMe account set up to help offset the costs of medical transportation, lodging, food expenses for staying in Las Vegas but most importantly to get her back home.  Just the medical transportation is estimated between $6,000 - $8,000 so any help you send is greatly appreciated.
