Relocating our Sanctuary

Many wonderful people have helped us through the challenges of the last two years when our sanctuary of animals was unexpectedly given less than three weeks to move. We truly thank you all, you gave us strength and held up a light when life felt so dark.
We had been led to believe that we were in a some what slow process of obtaining the lease, but our lives changed drastically in ways we could never have imagined when we put in an official complaint about a person using his position to serve his own agenda.
Overnight, we became the target of this persons bullying, intimidation and corruption and its far reaching consequences.

Its so easy to get lost in anger and forget that hateful people are only wounded people and they are not worth throwing all that we treasure and love away on them. Lets focus on our vision that will help even more animals live in kindness and love.
Now its time to regain our JOY. To move away from this toxic enviroment and set up our first ArkHeart sanctuary, helping even more animals and parrots to live happy lives outside off cages. As well as eco retreats, educational workshops and training we will also be creating empowering income opportunities for people that will eventually help fund the expansion of ArkHeart.
All funding raised now will be used initially to cover any costs of relocating our sanctuary, trucking and transport of animals, setting up infrastructure and fencing and new avairies.
Any funds left over will go to purchasing hay and feed and vetinary care. There is a never ending list of financial demands when you care for animals in need.
We have found a wonderful new location. It is for sale and we will be raising funds and creating lots of wonderful merchandise to purchase it, so it can be set up in trust for the animals. It wont be personally owned by us.
Right now we have been welcomed with open arms to caretake it.
As we need to be moved by 1st November if anyone wants to come and help us move a sanctuary of animals from south of Broken Hill to Tenterfield in NSW ,please contact us

During the challenges of this last year we also created a beautiful set of Sacred Journey into the Animal Realms 55 wisdom cards. They have become a fund raiser for our move and our new sanctuary. You can purchase your own gorgeous set, or my book Ghosts & Ghoumas from our website

I feel so grateful to all you who believe in us. Its been a long time since Gill and I sold our home in Alice Springs and set off on an adventure in a wagon built by Gill and pulled by eight camels, and with over fifty previously rescued animals travelling with us too. We were so full of excitement for the eco/sanctuary we would create when we found our new home. We could look at the last twelve years as a waste of time but we helped many animals here that would have otherwise perished and made many beautiful much loved friends. We grew in skills and got wise from the challenges.
We are resilient, dedicated, passionate and resourceful. We have been there for every animal in need, we have given up days off and holidays. Through two years of eviction and defending ourselves in court we have re invented our income and somehow managed to keep a whole sanctuary of animals happy.
