Aria's Battle With Infantile Spasms

My name is Lori Peterson and I am blessed to be one of Aria's grandmas. Our sweet baby girl was recently diagnosed at Blank Children's Hospital with a very rare seizure disorder disease called Infantile Spasms.

After multiple scans, tests and teams of doctors conferring, Aria has been put on a treatment plan that includes injections of a very powerful drug. This treatment will take down her immune system for the duration, so it is vital to be extremely vigilant and careful. She will receive intramuscular injections daily for at least a month. Without this treatment her prognosis would be devastating. The cost of this medicine is astronomical! ....But we pray it is the life saving protocol she desperately needs.

During the course of Aria's treatment, and likely even longer, Carson and Alex will have to make numerous trips to Blank Children's Hospital for follow up tests and visits with Aria's specialists and her neurologist.

While Aria battles this disease Alex will not be able to return to her career as a nurse until Aria is stabilized and recovering.

It is imperative that Aria's parents are able to concentrate on her treatment and recovery. We are hoping any funds donated will help to alleviate some of the financial burden from medical expenses and loss of income as their focus needs to be 100% on their beautiful baby.
