My name is Anthony Faison,
Founder and Executive Director of ARF Reentry Resources in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This organization benefits those with unfavorable backgrounds become productive citizens in society. I myself spent 10 years in prison. I was released on September 11, 2000. I know the struggles, the obstacles of having an unfavorable background and trying to mainstream back into society, trying to find employment, even getting money to buy gas to go seek employment, being able to buy food, get housing, pay your bills and find resources to survive. I just this celebrated 20 years of Freedom September 11,2020.
I started ARF Reentry Resources in January of this year with a vision of helping and assisting others to mainstream back into society and become productive citizens. My organization is a non profit that rely on our out of pocket, sponsors, and donations to help these individuals get a 2nd chance at life. Education is very vital, some need to go to school to get their GED, CDL's and other training to help them maintain employment and for some the hope of starting their own business so they can thrive in the community.
ARF have partner up with a company in Arkansas that are giving individuals employment if they can get there. We have purchased bus tickets , assist with food and put individuals up in hotels until they start work and are able to maintain on their own. This gives them a sense of responsibility and boost their self esteem. We offer individuals hope that they cannot only survive but thrive and not return into the system.
We have individuals that have been released and some are in the system on their way to being released that are in need of help. Due to Covid-19 family members are not able to visit, some have not been able to visit in almost a year and just to be able to put a little money in their account for canteen can make a world of difference.
I myself am a testimony that with help, giving someone a hand up can turn their life around. I am asking you to donate to our organization to help us get equipment, provide transportation, maintain office space to meet with clients and help other individuals mainstream back into society and become productive , self sufficient citizens.
