Ardent Mills Hurricane Irma/Maria

We started this page to help Ardent Mills team members and families that were impacted by Hurricane and Tropical Storm Irma. We are now opening it up to include Hurricane Maria and Ardent Mills has elevated our company-match to $40,000. All Ardent Mills team members from Hurricane Maria and Tropical Storm Irma are safe with no reported injuries.

Right now, our biggest need is to aid our Molinos de Puerto Rico team members from the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. All team members have been accounted for and are safe; however, almost everyone experienced some level of flooding and/or loss. Twelve team members suffered major loss due to flooding and high winds – this includes homes, roof, windows doors, appliances, furniture, cars and personal possessions. All team members are without electricity and most have no water. So far, Ardent Mills has sent generators for team members, diapers, water jugs, food and much more. We are installing a washer and dryer at the facility so team members can come wash clothes. We have a filtered water jug system for team members to come fill up and bring water home to family. Less than 12 percent of team members can use cell phones as many cell towers are down. Water, ice, food and gas are all a challenge on the island.

We have been asked by many of you, “How can we help?” This is how.

Ardent Mills has set up this Relief Fund site to aid Ardent Mills Team Members impacted by Hurricane and Tropical Storm Irma as well as Hurricane Maria. Any contribution you provide via this Ardent Mills Relief Fund is greatly appreciated and will go to help an Ardent Mills team member. Ardent Mills will match the funds raised up to $40,000. Money will be distributed by HR to families based on need. Any excess funds will be donated to other specific relief efforts in the area.

The Puerto Rico and Tampa, Fla., communities are thankful for your contributions, thoughts and prayers.
