Archie's LOVE Fund

Donation protected
Archie James Creech is of strong Exmoor stock and he is a true fighter and heart warrior!

In his 11 months he has fought a harder battle than most will fight in their entire lives, being in and out of hospital for various surgeries and investigations. Archie is fighting Complex Congenital Heart Disease, Scimitar Syndrome, Pulmonary vein stenosis and pulmonary hypertension he has recently been diagnosed with scoliosis, he has a 42 degree curvature in his spine and may need to wear a cast/jacket for the next 3-7 years.

His parents are angels, they have stuck by his side day-in and day-out. They have recently been in Musgrove Park Hospital and stayed for nearly two weeks treating his bronchitis and low oxygen levels. After extensive research his mother, Hayley, believes he may be suffering from sleep apnea and that is why his oxygen levels are dropping when he sleeps. They are currently awaiting results regarding these sleep studies.

Any donation will help with future specialists equipment and private care that includes Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Osteopathic Treatment and
McTimoney-Corley Spinal Thearpy.

thank you for all your continued prayers xxx

Just saw this posted by a fellow heart mummy and although it's not all cheerful, it's kind of uplifting in a way. Thought it summed up what this amazing group means to us all -south west heart families  ❤️xxx

Imagine...

Imagine being told your child is seriously ill.

Imagine crying until you think there's nothing left.

Imagine feeling like you've been punched in the stomach and wandering the corridors, as if your life was on pause for days on end, weeks, months, not able to comprehend what is happening.

Imagine signing a consent form knowing that death is an option.

Imagine having to hand over your child to surgeons over and over for endless hours and waiting...

Imagine having to watch as your once active child isn't even able to open their eyes for a week.

Imagine your child covered in wires with a machine breathing for them.

Imagine seeing your child resuscitated and been so close to leaving you.

Imagine the terror...

Imagine the pain of having to leave your baby in the care of strangers and not be able to sleep by their side.

Imagine standing by as your baby's body is pumped full of medication.

Imagine holding your baby down countless times while someone sticks needles in them while they scream.

Imagine the guilt...

Imagine keep being told the percentage chances that your child might survive or leave you.

Imagine not being to able to make any plans apart from hospital visits.

Imagine learning a whole new vocabulary of words which is all you talk about anymore.

Imagine good friends being too uncomfortable to see you or speak to you

But with the emptiness ...

Imagine the kindness of strangers who don't know you.

Imagine the incredible support from people you've never met but know how it feels.

Imagine how special each cuddle is that you feel the need to memorise it.

Imagine the magic of each smile knowing that this smile was lost for weeks and now it's back.

Imagine how fragile and precious life feels.

Imagine... Don't pity, don't sympathise, just spread awareness and just imagine because it could happen to anyone  ❤️
