Archer Family Recovery Fund

2020 has been hard enough. The last thing the Archer family needed, just before the holidays, was the destructive and traumatic break-in that they experienced last Saturday. Would you consider donating to help offset the damage incurred during the reckless rampage by this individual?

Here’s the full story:

“(Joey) 6:30 on Saturday morning, Beth and I were awoken to somebody furiously ringing our doorbell.  As I flew out of bed I ran through who it could be as we have a big gate that somebody couldn't just get through, and as I came to the door there was somebody I didn't recognize.

I yelled through the door for him to go out to the gate and I would get dressed and come out to speak with him.  In this process Beth pulled up our cameras and realized the someone had slipped her car into gear, and rolled it out of the driveway, and was in the process of breaking in my car with a shovel.

I quickly called the police and got dressed.  I don't own a gun and all I could find was a big mag light, so we waited and watch for six minutes while he continued to damage our vehicles.  My mind raced as I stayed on the line with dispatch.....until I saw him start to approach our front door.  I told Beth to go get the girls and wake them up.   I was hoping this could be resolved without them being woken up.

At that time the person took the shovel and began smashing it against the glass on the front door.  He succeeding in destroying the glass and as you'll see towards the end of the video I was able to grab it out of his hand and hit him with it.  The cops came ten seconds later and he was arrested.

Beth and I are both riding the roller coaster of emotion that this sort of experience puts your through.  We'd appreciate your prayers as we continue to process.  Driving into work today I found myself in tears as I was trying to think through work pressures and deal with some of the emotions and trauma I have been feeling.  So I called off lessons for the week.

I'm posting this video because it shows everything that happened, but also because I get teased a lot for the surveillance state we have at our property lol.  I enjoy technology and in this case it served it's purpose in recording everything that occurred.

Beth and the girls are fine.  Beth sent the girls out their window and they ran barefoot in their PJs down to the barn.  I haven't been able to bring myself to watch THAT footage and it's already too much for me that they were brought into this whole madness.”
