Archana's fund for Headway Milton Keynes

On 6th May 2023, I will be completing the 3 peak challenge with couple friends to raise funds for a charity in memory of my beloved dad.

On the morning 6th May 2016, my dad was found unresponsive in the bathroom and was rushed into the hospital. After arriving at the hospital, we were informed that he had suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage (brain aneurysm) and that he would not survive it.

This meant we had couple hours for friends and family to visit my dad whilst being on life support, it was then switched off early hours of Saturday 7th May 2016 and we all went home leaving my dad behind.

This year, 23rd April, my dad would’ve celebrated his 60th birthday and in honour of his memories, I’d like to do the 3 peak challenge and raise money for Headway, Milton Keynes. This charity supports people who have survived brain injuries and the life changing consequences of these.

If I could move mountains to bring him back, I’d move every one of them, but that is not possible. This challenge is something very meaningful to me to celebrate his special birthday but also his memories which will remain with me and my family forever. Myself and couple friends will be climbing the highest mountains of Scotland, Wales and England in 24hrs. As much as it feels like a challenge, nothing compares to the real challenges of living a life without him in my life!
