Achalasia -1 in 100, 000 diagnosed

Donation protected
For over a year my nephew, Scott D'Augustine went undiagnosed and suffered with Achalasia. It is a disease that is rare and affects about 1 in every 100,000 people. It  is a swallowing disorder of the esophogus. His food does not always enter the stomach, but instead is regurgitated. It can take him over an hour to eat something that might take a few minutes for a normal person.  As a result, he has lost  30 pounds and was told by his doctor that he looks emaciated. He is working to try to gain some weight so he can have surgery to hopefully correct the problem.
As his aunt, I wanted to do something to help him. He does not have a good insurance plan, and he will have to pay out of pocket for his hospital stay, and be out of work without pay for at least a week.  His surgery is scheduled for November 12, 2018.
Anything you can give to help ease the financial burden so Scott only needs to focus on  a speedy recovery will be greatly appreciated.
